Introduction

The past few months I have been trying to live healthier in general and I have also been hitting a lot of snags - some of which are probably just poor excuses. I realize that living healthy involves a lot of changes! This includes things like positive mental thinking, eating right, exercising, etc.

My main goal is to start eating healthy! I have pretty poor eating habits - but of course I am not that bad, I can at least say that fast food is not really part of my diet. I have tried past diets, like Atkins, GI Diet, and Weight Watchers. I am not trying to say they don't work, they just don't work for me. The most useful one I have ever tried was the GI Diet. To me it's not really a diet, it's a new way to look at what you are eating. Im done with diets; besides, have you ever noticed that the word diet contains the word die?

I have decided to do a little at home research on foods that are healthy and how to cook them. I have researched a few recipes, but I am having a hard time finding ones that I like. To counteract the problem of not liking the recipes I have decided to experiment in my kitchen with the new healthy foods I am discovering.

I want to thank my health food store for opening my eyes at some of the new foods I am going to try!

Also, as part of my quest for a healthier lifestyle I have also decided to give up some of the time I am spending on the computer - so I may not have new posts everyday, but when I try something new I will be sure to post the outcome and possibly some pictures to go with it!
